Welcome to the Coco Events & Activities Calendar Website — your central place to discover what’s happening in and around town.
My name is Donald DeGagne, a retired Canadian who has been living in Playas del Coco, Costa Rica for the past four years. Like many people who live here or visit regularly, I quickly noticed something missing: there was no single place to easily find out what was happening around town.
Live music. DJ nights. Dancing. Community gatherings. Local celebrations. Special events.
Information about these events was scattered across Facebook pages, WhatsApp groups, posters, and word of mouth. It often meant spending far too much time searching just to answer a simple question:
“What’s going on tonight in Coco?”
So, I decided to build something that solved that problem for everyone.
A Central Hub for Local Events
This website was created to provide a simple, centralized event calendar for Playas del Coco and the surrounding area.
Here you’ll find:

Whether you live here full-time, are visiting for a few weeks, or just arrived in town, the goal is simple:

This platform is designed to be open and easy to use.
Venues, musicians, DJs, promoters, and community organizers can submit their events directly through the Submit Event Form on the site.
Events are reviewed before publishing to keep listings accurate and useful for everyone.
Once approved, events appear on the calendar so locals and visitors alike can discover them.

Listing events on the site is completely free.

The goal is to support the local entertainment scene and make it easier for people to connect with what’s happening around town.
